All income received by the Club, including membership subscriptions, donations, sponsorships, fundraising proceeds and event revenue, is applied exclusively towards the operation, maintenance, development and long-term sustainability of the Club. No profits, surpluses or assets are distributed to members, officers, committee members or private individuals other than the reimbursement of legitimate and authorised expenses incurred on behalf of the Club. Corsham Chess Club is governed by its elected committee and operates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing community clubs and social organisations within the United Kingdom. The committee is responsible for ensuring transparent governance, responsible financial management and the continued stability and sustainability of the organisation. The Club's principal objectives are to promote participation in chess for people of all ages and abilities; provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment; encourage learning, personal development and community engagement; organise club meetings, tournaments, coaching sessions and social events; and support the growth and accessibility of chess within the local community. All proceeds generated by the Club are reinvested into the Club and its activities for the benefit of its members and the wider community.
